Common Name - Agave macroacantha
Country of Origin -  Mexico
How to grow - Agaves are very tolerant of soil types as long as its well drained, mature plants can cope very well with drought but younger plants may need more water in dry conditions. They make ideal pot plants as they have shallow roots but they quickly fill a pot so planting in the ground if possible is best. If well drained will tolerate frost.

Description - Black spined agave, striking colouring on the tips makes it a very eye catching plant to have in the collection, greyish green leaves, spikes between 1-2inch.
