Common Name - Agave deserti
Country of Origin - California, Arizona
How to grow - Agaves are very tolerant of soil types as long as its well drained, mature plants can cope very well with drought but younger plants may need more water in dry conditions. They make ideal pot plants as they have shallow roots but they quickly fill a pot so planting in the ground if possible is best. If well drained will tolerate frost.
Hardiness - -8c (With good drainage)
Description - Will form a large rosette, grey/green leaves, fairly well spaced teeth along outside of the leaves. Leaves can get to 70cm long, 10cm wide.
