Common Name - Agave Attenuata, Fox tail Agave

Country of Origin - Central Mexico -Now naturalised in other countries

How to grow -Agaves are very tolerant of soil types as long as its well drained, mature plants can cope very well with drought but younger plants may need more water in dry conditions. They make ideal pot plants as they have shallow roots but they quickly fill a pot so planting in the ground if possible is best. If well drained will tolerate frost.

Hardiness - 5c (With good drainage)

Description - A spineless Agave, known for its foxtail like flower that hangs down. Light green leaves, can form a large stem up to 150cm tall with the main rosette on top when mature. Will offset new plants from the base. This particular Agave is not UK winter hardy, it will need to be dry and in a greenhouse or conservatory over winter. 

 

All plants will be shipped bare root. Grown in 9cm pot
