Common Name - Aeonium haworthii Kiwi

Country of Origin - Cultivar

How to grow - Aeoniums are usually very easy to care for, you need to pot them in a well drained soil and let them dry out between waterings. During hot periods they can go dormant, this is when the rosettes close up to help conserve water within the plant. During this period they don't need as much water. Their main growing period is actually during the cooler times of the year, they’ll over winter quite well if kept frost free . In warmer areas of the UK they can be outside all year round. As they grow they’ll drop the lower leaves of the rosette, this is normal.

Hardiness - +5c - +10c

Description - A popular and stunning Aeonium, the colour change varies on tempreture, sunlight and moisture, with partial shade bringing out the green in the leaves and higher light levels bringing out the more yellow colour. (See photos) Thin stemmed, can get to 90cm tall but has the tendancy to topple over due to the weight of the rosettes. Be careful when introducing to a sunny spot as its easy to sun burn due to the varigation in the leaves.
